How FieldToCAD works

FieldToCAD replaces the manual spreadsheet workflow for ground-to-grid coordinate transformation. Drop your field file, localize, project to State Plane, validate visually, and export in about five minutes instead of thirty to sixty.

1. 1

   Import your field file

   Drop a Trimble JobXML (.jxl), Carlson RW5 (.rw5), Trimble RXL (.rxl), or point CSV/TSV file. FieldToCAD reads it into browser memory for local processing.

   Configure ground-to-grid localization

   Enter your 4-parameter conformal transform: combined scale factor, rotation, and east/north shifts from your field calibration.

   Transform and validate

   Select your target State Plane or UTM zone. The live canvas map redraws on every change so you catch wrong rotation or scale before export.

   Export to CAD

   Download LandXML for Civil 3D or Field Book (.fbk). Pro export is server-enforced. All iterative work stays local.
