Convert Trimble JobXML (.jxl) to LandXML

FieldToCAD reads Trimble JobXML (.jxl) in your browser, applies your 4-parameter ground-to-grid localization and State Plane projection, validates the result on a live map, and exports LandXML for Autodesk Civil 3D. Local processing requires no upload.

How to convert with FieldToCAD

  1. 1. Drop your .jxl file: Export JobXML from Trimble Access or Business Center.
  2. 2. Set localization: Enter scale, rotation, and shift from your field localization.
  3. 3. Choose State Plane zone: Select NAD83(2011) State Plane or UTM target CRS.
  4. 4. Validate on the map: Confirm geometry before export. Wrong rotation is visible immediately.
  5. 5. Export LandXML: Download a Civil 3D-ready LandXML file.

Trimble JobXML is the standard interchange format from Trimble Access controllers. FieldToCAD parses both Reductions (already-corrected coordinates) and FieldBook observations, respecting the Reduced flag so prism and scale corrections are never applied twice.

After localization, points are projected to your target State Plane zone using Krueger-series Transverse Mercator or Lambert Conformal Conic, the same projection families EPSG uses for NAD83 State Plane.
